It was about time to finally to see the politicians in Dyker Heights fighting to fix the underground sewers today. My brother-in-law lives on 10th Avenue in Dyker Heights in a beautiful home and Everytime it rains this entire section of Dyker Heights withstands horrible home flooding. What they must undergo anytime a rainstorm comes is like a third world country. Polio has been detected in New York City wastewater and this wastewater is coming into their finished basements! Let's hope Mayor Adams is listening to us and hears the desperate cries for action! My brother-in-law said it's because when Senator Martin Golden was in charge 20 years ago when the workers started fixing the sewers but Golden took the sewer money and gave it to Marine Park. This is why residents of here in Dyker Heights do feel ignored by the "powers that be" so it was nice to see the politicians finally here fighting for us. This is the story from the 7 o'clock news this evening.
