The angry people with their panties in a bunch tend to be the loudest, but there is so much good in our little neighborhood. Each week, I'll be rounding up five posts about good deeds or happy little moments from the past week in Bay Ridge. If you have something you think should be included, message or tag me on Twitter! (Please note: These round-ups will normally be posted on Wednesday. I was busy grooving at the Springsteen Tribute! You can check my post for information about the rest of the summer concert series here.)
Tramps Like Us: Bruce Springsteen Tribute
You know I have to include my Bruce!!! Brooklyn Vlad posted this picture in Bay Ridge Talk and I just love it because you can see how many people came out to have a good time.

Cat Rescue
Jackie Borodan wrote in Bay Ridge Parents that there was a kitten stuck in a tree. Thankfully, the kitten was rescued and is now safe and sound. Councilman Justin Brannan detailed the whole rescue in a Twitter thread. So glad the kitten is safe and I hope it finds its #FurreverHome.

Blood Donations
Bobby Daquara shared in Bay Ridge Talk that the number of blood donations they collected was the highest ever! As you can see in the post, he said, "We had 117 donors attempt to donate resulting 109 lifesaving blood donations. You should be proud to know that those 109 units of blood have the potential to help save 327 lives in our community." Thank you to everyone that donated! The next chance to donate is Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 1PM-7PM.

Park Clean-Up
I hate to see trash on the sidewalk and people littering. It makes me so mad. So, I really appreciate the volunteers that go out and clean up our neighborhood! Thank you! If you can, help them out next time. It takes all of us to keep it clean!

Movie in the Park
It is so nice having so many free activities to do in the summer, like the movies in the park! Here is a nice picture from Jocelyn LaVasseur in Bay Ridge Talk. As she said, "doesn't get better than this."

It's so nice to highlight the happy moments in our community. I'll be back next week with another weekly round-up. Remember, if you have something you think should be included, message or tag me on Twitter!
